Welcome to Tirimbina, where the birds represent a significant portion of Costa Rica's biological diversity, with approximately 900 species, including 407 species found only in our Reserve, making Tirimbina a unique place to enjoy these animals.

Join us on a guided bird-watching tour, where our expert guide will lead you through our primary and secondary forests, teaching you how to identify birds by their songs, colors, shapes, and behaviors. To enhance your experience, we provide a telescope to allow you to enjoy every detail of the bird's; colors and features.

During your tour, you may spot some of our emblematic species such as the Snowy Cotinga, Sunbittern, White Fronted Nunbird, and Black-Crested Coquette. Our knowledgeable guides will also provide insights into the bird's behaviors and the important role they play in the ecosystem.

The tour lasts between 2 to 2.5 hours and is offered at two different times, 6:00 am and 3:00 pm. We recommend bringing closed shoes, insect repellent, and optionally, a camera and binoculars to capture the beauty of these magnificent creatures.
