WILDLIFE & SLOTH TERRITORY - SUSPENSION BRIDGES / WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION

Sloth's Territory is a natural jewel of 13 hectares, a private reserve, protected and maintained by the Rodriguez Perez Family, a traditional Costa Rican family. Ten of these hectares are currently in the process of reforestation. The remaining 3 hectares are a true paradise with vibrant flora and fauna and the permanent habitat of many types of animals such as sloths, opossums, frogs, birds, and more. It also has a trail of 1300 meters, extending over the banks of the Habana River, in El Tanque de La Fortuna. Without a doubt, in Sloth's Territory you can live an incredible experience.

During the hike, the trail will allow you to enjoy a gallery forest with lush vegetation and giant trees such as Chilamate and Guácimo Colorado, constituting the habitat of many species such as opossums, two-toed sloths, three-toed sloths, and many birds such as Toucans, Tanagers, Royal Flycatchers, and others. But the main attraction is the observation of sloths. Members of the Rodriguez Family will be your guides since trying to find sloths requires high skills because they usually have an excellent camouflage that makes them imperceptible to untrained eyes.

The trail is accessible for all ages, so this is an activity that the whole family can enjoy it. The tour includes a trained guide throughout the hike with a professional telescope and a snack of fresh seasonal fruits at the end.
