Los Quetzales and Highland Birding Expedition
Come explore the highlands of Costa Rica and see some of the most beautiful birds in the world. Led by a local expert and your bilingual naturalist guide you will spot the famous Resplendent Quetzal bird as you make your way through Costa Rica´s newest national Park.
Breakfast & Lunch, Roundtrip Private Transportation from and to Manuel Antonio & Quepos local Hotels, Los Quetzales National Park entrance fee, bottled water for the hike and Certified Naturalist Tour Guide included.
Pick up time: 4:00 am (Full day experience)
Return time: 5:00 pm.
Please wear Closed-Toed Shoes (tennis shoes or hiking boots) if requiere in advance we will provide rubber boots (Hiking boots have better traction and are better suited for Los Quetzales National Park trails)
If you choose to go with rubber boots, it is important to pack socks that reach above the top of the boot. Otherwise your legs may become chaffed
- We recommend packing sandals or an extra pair of confortable shoes for the boat and car ride
- Bring sunscreen, bug spray and a towel
- Don't forget to pack a camera or a smart phone
- Dress in mute colors (think bleending in!)
- A light cotton t-shirt and pants are ideal for the tour, comfortable extra changing clothes are recommended for the car ride back - During the rainy months (May-December) we strongly recommend to pack a good rain jacket or poncho.
