Coffee, chocolate Tour
Starting in the lobby of the Lodge with a short walk through the gardens to the dairy where you can experience hand milking practices. You can also visit the house of cheeses, the terrace of the sugar mill where you can enjoy the delicious cane juice, as well as the delicious panela (sugar cane product), the orchard with crops for the restaurant's own consumption, the lagoon of guapotes, honeybees and orchard pollinators.
Then you walk through the cocoa plantation, the different varieties, pollination and how the pods are harvested for the due process of fermentation and natural drying. At the chocolate station we will teach the process of making the different types of chocolate. and you can also enjoy traditional drinks made by the indigenous people such as the popular drink of the gods and much more.
Complementing the excursion, the history of coffee in Costa Rica will be explained, including its cultural and socioeconomic importance. Then you will discover the life cycle of a coffee plant, from seed to plant to fruit.
