Food is a delicious shortcut to a country’s culture! Our traditional cooking lesson starts with a tour of “La Finquita” (Little Farm) to witness firsthand the land-to-table process. After harvesting seasonal produce, we will prepare a traditional Costa Rican dish. Depending on the time of day, we will prepare breakfast, snacking, or lunch favorites. Dish choices include palmed corn tortillas, gallo pinto, picadillos, patacones, cassava chips, pico de gallo salsa, and more. Each will let you experiment with Costa Rican flavors, ingredients, and techniques. Bring out the Tico Chef in you at home and delight your family and friends.
