This private expedition will take you to the legendary Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge.  Hidden within Costa Rica’s Northern region, it is  can only be reached by boat through unspoiled swaths of raw jungle and forest. This secluded paradise offers one of the best birding and wildlife spotting adventures in the country.  On the way, we will showcase some of Costa Rica’s emblematic plantations including cassava, papaya, pineapple, sugar cane, and orange.  At El Caimán Restaurant, you will enjoy a welcome beverage & snack prior to embarking on the 2.5 hour boat journey along Río Frío.  There, you will enjoy spotting egrets, herons, monkeys, caymans, iguanas, bats, and stunning flora.  After the river journey, we will head back to El Caimán for a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch.
