RESERVATION POLICIES
Terms and Conditions
 
Your Credit Card will be charged at the moment you do the reservation. Special deals are non-refundable.

1. All guests registering must be 18 years old or older and must present photo ID upon check-in.
 
2. Check in time is at 3pm and check out time is at 12pm. In the case of late check-outs, a fee will apply for each hour after 12pm, until 6pm.
 
3. If checking out later than 6pm, there will be an additional charge, equivalent to a full night’s rate. 
 
4. Costa Rica's standard 13% sales tax is not included in the room rate.
 
5. Breakfast served in main restaurant is included in the rate.  Room service breakfast is subject to an additional charge.
 
6. The total price of the reservation will be charged the day of booking.
 
7. All reservations will be confirmed via email.
 
8. All modifications or cancellations, must be sent in writing (via fax or e-mail) to our reservations department.  reservations@rioperdido.com  Fax +506 2673 3607
 
9. Cancelation requests must indicate the guest's full name, the quantity of people (adults and children) considered in the reservation, and the dates of check in and check out.
 
10. Pets are not allowed unless otherwise indicated, with the exception of trained guide dogs.  Proper paperwork may be required.
 
11. Room preferences and special requests (i.e. location or room assignment) are not guaranteed and are subject to availability at the time of check in.
 
Cancellation Policy
 
1.Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to the fax number (506) 2673-3607 or via email to reservations@rioperdido.com.
 
2. Cancellations are effective when a Rio Perdido reservations staff member confirms via email or fax.

3. If, in accordance with the policies, a refund applies, the corresponding amount will be credited.
 
3. Refunds, if applicable, will be made upon receipt of written cancellation; refunds will be made as per the following:
 
            • Individual room reservations (up to 4 rooms booked for the same dates) canceled 30 days or more prior to the date of the reservation are not subject to a penalty.
            • No penalties will apply for reservations of 5 rooms or more, for the same dates, that are canceled 45 days or more prior to the date of arrival.  If a 5+ room reservation is canceled between 30 and 44 days prior to the arrival date a 50% penalty will apply.
            • A 100% penalty will apply for individual or group reservations canceled within 30 days of the scheduled arrival date. The full charge also applies to no-shows.
 
4.  Cancelations for stays between December 15 and December 31 that are not requested prior to October 31 will be subject to a full stay, room-rate penalty.
 
Group Cancellation Policies
 
1. Cancelations for group reservations of 5 rooms or more with the same stay dates will not be subject to a penalty if the cancellation is received 30 days or more prior to the date of the scheduled check-in.
 
2. If the cancelation is requested between 29 and 15 days before the arrival date, a 50% penalty will apply.
 
3. Group reservations canceled within 14 days of the date of booking will be subject to a 100% penalty.  The same applies for no-shows.
            • Rio Perdido will not authorize any refunds for late cancellations, unused portions of packages, or no shows.
            • It is agreed that Rio Perdido will be relieved of its obligations in the event of natural disasters, fire, and strike, order of government or force majeure.
 
Children Policies
 
• Ages 0 to 3: A complimentary stay applies for babies and toddlers.  They must be accompanied by an adult and/or legal guardian.
• Ages 4 -11: A US$25 charge applies, per child.  The fee is subject to the local tax, which is an additional 13%.
• Ages 12 and up: A US$50 applies, per individual.  The fee is subject to the local tax, which is an additional 13%.

The information entered in our website will not be disclosed to a third party, for any reason.  This information will be for exclusive use of Arbol Cuatro Escudos S.A. (Rio Perdido’s legal name) under penalty of applicable law.  This sensitive information subject to a 128-bit secure encryption (SSL) prior to being transmitted.

• No show .............. 100% penalidad

Temporada verde (MAYO-JUNIO-SEPTIEMBRE-OCTUBRE):

• 15 días antes de la llegada .............. Sin penalidad
• 14 A 0 días antes de la llegada .............. 100% penalidad
• No show .............. 100% penalidad

Temporada alta (EL RESTO DEL AÑO):

• 30 días antes de la llegada .............. Sin penalidad
• 29 A 0 días antes de la llegada .............. 100% penalidad
• No show .............. 100% penalidad
